Set Up Your IDFs

Some sites will require additional switches or other network equipment to transmit a signal from the cameras back to the NVR.

These locations will have been agreed upon prior to the start of the installation and will ensure no cable segments exceed 300ft.

SCW branded switches include an Extended Transmission feature that allows cable lengths up to 700 feet for cameras. The Extended Transmission feature needs to be activated on the switch and will only work with SCW branded cameras.

Whether it be network switches or Ubiquiti wireless antennas, it is important to install this equipment next.

SCW Network switches are unmanaged, so no configuration is necessary.
