Meet with your Point of Contact (POC)
Upon arriving on site, it is important to introduce yourself to the designated Point of Contact (POC). This is an important opportunity to review project expectations and identify any misalignments that need to be referred to Techlink and SCW for resolution.
The POC will be responsible for signing off on the Location Approval Form, the View Approval Form, and ultimately the Certificate of Completion.
Make a friendly introduction to the POC and discuss the following:
Carefully review the Scope of Work with the POC to ensure everyone is on the same page about the work to be completed.
If there are any differences between your expectations and the POCs, take careful notes and bring these up with your Techlink Project Manager immediately.
Under no circumstances should you complete out of scope work without FIRST speaking to your Techlink Project Manager so they can work with SCW to have the client sign off on the work and associated additional costs. If you proceed with out-of-scope work before SCW gets formal acceptance from the client of the work and the additional costs, you will not be compensated for that additional work.
Explain to the POC that they will need to install SCW Go for their mobile devices and/or SCW view station for their PC. You can assist them with this in the course of completing the project. If they are not able to make time to do this with you while you are on site completing the camera installation, make sure they know they can always call SCW Tech support for assistance at any time in the future.
SCW Technical Support: (828) 565-1205. Available Mon- Fri from 9am-7pm EST.
