Step 1: Meet with POC (Point of Contact) and review Project Expectations
Upon arriving on site, it is important to make contact with the designated POC (Point of Contact) if they are available. This is an important opportunity to review project expectations and identify any mis alignments that need to be referred to Techlink and SCW for resolution.
This person will be responsible for signing off on the Location Approval Form, the View Approval Form, and ultimately the Certificate of Completion.
They will need viewing software setup on their PC and/ or Mobile Device.
Make a friendly introduction and explain what you will need from them during the installation:
Sign off on the Location Approval Form prior to cameras being mounted
Sign off on the View Approval Form after cameras have been aimed
Working with you and SCW tech support to set up their Remote Viewing Software (SCW Go for mobile devices, SCW ViewStation for PC).
If possible, have the POC agree on a date/time that they will be available to set up their devices.
Sign off on the Certificate of Completion when the project has been completed.
Calling into SCW tech support for additional training on the system and software.
Step 2: Complete Location Approval Form
The Location Approval Form for your specific installation will have been uploaded to the work order as a Required Closeout Document.
This document is designed to ensure that all cameras are mounted where the client wants them. Properly completing this step reduces callbacks or warranty work arising from miscommunication.
Don’t forget to print the Location Approval Form document prior to arriving on site
Walk through the site with the customer and review the approved locations for each camera, getting them to sign-off on them as you go.
The signed and completed Location Approval Form must be uploaded to the work order as soon as it as completed. It is a Required Closeout Document and necessary for a completed installation.
Any inaccuracies or changes to the camera locations must be directed to the Techlink project manager. They will notify the SCW Project Manager who will contact the client and process a change order.
No out-of-scope work should be done unless SCW has a signed change order from the POC.

Step 3: Unboxing Equipment / Verifying Equipment Shipped:
Whether the equipment was shipped directly to site or to the technician, it is important to go through boxes and make sure that the products you have match the packing slip and the Scope of Work Document from the work order.
