Step 1: Meet with POC (Point of Contact) and review Project Expectations

Upon arriving on site, it is important to make contact with the designated POC (Point of Contact) if they are available. This is an important opportunity to review project expectations and identify any mis alignments that need to be referred to Techlink and SCW for resolution.

This person will be responsible for signing off on the Location Approval Form, the View Approval Form, and ultimately the Certificate of Completion.

They will need viewing software setup on their PC and/ or Mobile Device.

Make a friendly introduction and explain what is required of them during the installation:

  • Signing off on the Location Approval Form prior to cameras being mounted, the View Approval Form after cameras have been aimed, and the Certificate of Completion when the project has been completed.

  • Working with you and SCW tech support to set up their Remote Viewing Software (SCW Go for mobile devices, SCW ViewStation for PC). It would be helpful to

If possible, have the POC agree on a date/time that they will be available to set up their devices.

  • Calling into SCW tech support for additional training on the system and software.

Step 2: Complete Location Approval Form

The Location Approval Form for your specific installation will have been uploaded to the work order as a Required Closeout Document.

Note

Don’t forget to print this document prior to arriving on site

Walk through the site with the customer and review the approved locations for each camera, getting them to sign-off on them as you go.

The signed and completed Location Approval Form must be uploaded to the work order as a Required Closeout Document. It is necessary for a completed installation.

Any inaccuracies or changes to the project summary must be directed to the Techlink project manager. They will notify the SCW Project Manager who will contact the client and process a change order.

Warning

No out-of-scope work should be done unless SCW has a signed change order from the POC.
